How many times has this happened to you…

PHASE 1 - A new patient comes in. Yippee! They even seem genuinely excited to get treatment. You even seem to have good rapport with them. Lucky day!

PHASE 2 - Next, they start coming in a few times for treatment… but around the fourth or fifth visit you begin to sense that something has changed in their demeanor or attitude towards you and/or the treatment plan you had discussed.

PHASE 3 - Uh oh. We’re only into the second week of treatment but the patient called this morning to cancel their appointment. “Did they reschedule?” Well no, they said they’d call back later to reschedule.

Gee, haven’t heard that one before…. have we?

PHASE 4 – Patient never calls back. Were they abducted by aliens since their last visit… or did you just get the Brush Off?
